Community Guidelines
Last updated: March 19, 2026
Piike is built for the competitive diving community. These guidelines exist to ensure that everyone — divers, coaches, parents, fans, and officials — can use the platform in a safe, respectful, and productive environment. By using Piike, you agree to follow these guidelines.
Respect & Sportsmanship
- Treat every member of the diving community with respect, whether they are a first-time diver or an Olympic medalist.
- Celebrate achievements and offer constructive feedback. Competitive diving is a supportive community — keep it that way.
- Respect coaches, officials, and meet organizers. Disagreements about scoring or judging should be addressed through proper channels, not public attacks.
No Harassment, Bullying, or Hate Speech
- Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or threats of any kind are strictly prohibited.
- Hate speech based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic will result in immediate account action.
- Do not post content designed to demean, shame, or embarrass other members of the community.
- Constructive criticism of diving performance is welcome; personal attacks are not.
No Impersonation
- Do not impersonate athletes, coaches, officials, or any other person on the platform.
- Fan accounts must be clearly labeled as such and cannot claim to represent the actual person.
- Claiming diver profiles that are not yours is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
Accurate Profile Information
- Provide accurate information when creating your profile and claiming a diver identity.
- Do not misrepresent your coaching credentials, competitive achievements, or affiliations.
- Coaches should only claim programs they are actively affiliated with.
Video Content Standards
- Video uploads should be related to diving — competition footage, training clips, and highlight reels.
- Do not upload content that is inappropriate, violent, sexually explicit, or unrelated to the sport.
- Respect copyright — only upload videos you own or have permission to share.
- Do not upload video of other people's children without parental consent.
Minor Safety
Piike takes the safety of minor athletes extremely seriously.
- Adults should not initiate private contact with minors outside of an established coaching or official relationship.
- All interactions with minors must comply with the U.S. Center for SafeSport's Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP).
- Users under 13 are subject to COPPA protections and require parental consent for certain features.
- If you observe inappropriate behavior toward a minor, report it immediately through our reporting tools and contact SafeSport at 833-5US-SAFE (833-587-7233).
Reporting Violations
- Use the report button on any post, comment, message, or profile to flag content that violates these guidelines.
- Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours.
- You can also email reports to support@piike.co.
- For serious safety concerns involving minors, contact the U.S. Center for SafeSport directly at safesport.org or call 833-5US-SAFE.
Enforcement
Violations of these guidelines will result in the following actions, at Piike's discretion:
- Warning: A first offense for minor violations will result in a written warning and content removal.
- Temporary Suspension: Repeated violations or more serious offenses will result in a temporary account suspension (typically 7-30 days).
- Permanent Ban: Severe violations (threats, hate speech, harassment of minors, impersonation) may result in immediate and permanent account termination.
Appeals Process
- If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by emailing support@piike.co with the subject line "Appeal."
- Include your account email, a description of the action taken, and your explanation.
- Appeals are reviewed within 5 business days. Decisions on appeals are final.
